Great Escape & St Louis

January 1994

(This is a call back from another dream)

The whole Amuneal shop closed. All the workers and myself were walking down a country road, like the scenery in the Great Escape when Steve was riding the motorcycle. We came to a ‘t’ in the road. At the ‘t’ was a huge factory advertising work. (This is the end of the call back. the other dream ended right at this intersection, I saw no further.)

Following the road to the right you could see St. Louis skyline and on the left another big city which I can’t remember. Initially I thought it was NY, but the buildings were half built.

All the workers were celebrating that they found work then looked at me, a non-factory worker. I stood in the middle of the ‘t’ and raised my arms and shouted, “which city wants me?”

Suddenly, Jim Z. was there. We were looking at the St. Louis city at a building which looked like the Roman Coliseum, a huge stadium with a section missing.

Between the two cities, there was a stretch of swamp land with large objects scattered about. Cork (Jim Z transformed) and I realized that they were large, human hamster wheels and ladder bridges and one contraption which was not anything we have ever seen. It had three sections to it and each one had a blacktop attached to the underside of it-like a section of road. It was meant to be some type of vehicle to navigate the swamp. I took a closer look at the coliseum and noticed you could walk right up the cracked edge. We did so and found it was narrower as you got higher. We got the the height equal Giants Stadium, then turned around.

The next thing I know, I was in the town with two idiots and a girl I did not recognize any of them. We were in a store which was owned by one of their uncles debating what we could do for money. The uncle said we could work here and did so immediately.

One of the stupid guys was unpacking jelly and jam onto the wrong shelves.

The store was a large and crowded one with just about everything. (Right here in my dream, I started to think about how I was to describe this store and I thought that it was a cross between a supermarket, 5 &10, general store ans any other store you could think of.) The store was super crowded with so much stuff there was hardly room to move.

One guy came in and wanted to rent a movie. I had to lead him around the whole store to where the movies were. In the process I found portable tvs, winter parkas, purses, etc.

Another time, I was checking the inventory of the woman’s coat section and I saw Donna (The girl from high school and with Dean from Exxon.) I asked her what she was doing in St. Loius and she said she came here with Danny Roterban (grade school friend)
