Whiffleball & Brando

March 1994

Mike, Scott D and I were on our way to Scott’s house in three separate cars. We all got split up and I found that I was walking. I got to his house, and walked around to the backyard. The backyard was very overgrown with weeds and vines and what not, no sun shown in at all.

I entered the yard, and saw Mike enter at the same time from the other side. We walked up to Scott’s parents at the same time. They knew me, but not Mike. They had some food laid out so we dug in and started eating. They asked us where Scott was and I told them he took the long way and he should be there any moment. There were two kids playing whiffle ball in the back yard and Scott’s parents said we could join them, but as we were going to, Scott appeared.

We went inside the house, and I got a call from my dad. He said Debbie was calling everyday and becoming a nuisance. He also said another girl was calling just as much, Virginia?

Next thing I know I was in a my bedroom in Oakland looking in my closet for shoes to take with me to PA. Mike showed up and we left my house, and found ourselves in Scott’s neighbor hood. No, actuall it was the neighborhood near Rising Sun where I lived. Mike and I walked around and we saw an old theater. I never knew it was there. We walked downstairs into the lobby and looked around. It was full of old people. There was an exhibit across the lobby which showed famous props from famous plays. I do not remember any of them, but one. It was a small wooden table with a piece of parchment on it. There was an ancient compass as well and some lines ans shapes drawn on the paper. A plague on the
wall said the author of the play made the shape of on eon the lines wrong and it was never used in the play. This however, was the only peice of paper, so they had to cut tjhis scene out of the play.
Walking out, I saw an advertisemtn that said \marlon \brando was to be in the show tonight, and Itold Mike and we went over to the desk to grab a play bill. We opened it up and sawthat it was not to be \Brande, but an actor woth s similair name.
